A prehistoric world defined by evolutionary isolation at the edge of one of the most important marine conservation spots on the planet.

With nearly 90% of its wildlife found nowhere else on Earth, Madagascar is home to one of the world’s most unique ecosystems, both on land and at sea. Between October and December the world’s largest fish, the Whale shark, congregates around the island’s warm waters to feed on plankton blooms, making it one of the best places on Earth to swim alongside these gentle marine giants.

Our expeditions will show you the best of Madagascar’s marine world whilst you learn to freedive and become fully immersed in this spectacular environment. Support critical marine research as you work alongside specialist scientists.

"Manga (“blue”) is the colour of the horizon where the ancestors watch. It is the salt on the skin and the deep pulse of the tide. To be Malagasy is to have the blue of the sea in your very marrow."

— Vaonarivo Brown (Malagasy poet)

Conservation and Expeditions

All of our expeditions support local community initiatives to promote the preservation of some of the last remaining wild spaces on earth. We work closely with local representatives, government bodies and conservation charities to ensure all our expeditions are sustainable and put wildlife first.
